Corrections, in public.
When a page said something the document did not, the fix is logged here: what it said, what it says now, the date, and why it happened.
Page 4 of 4 of the log. How a correction is made, and how to report one, is on the first page.

-
Revolut Corrected Correction - We said:
Our offers table said the referrer's Revolut reward is a random draw and that Revolut publishes amounts only for Brazil and Mexico. - Correct: Revolut's US Referrals Terms say the amount is unique to each referrer and set out in their in-app invite; no US amount is published.
Why. Neither claim is in any Revolut document we could read.

-
Coinbase Corrected Correction - We said:
This page called the referral bonus a guaranteed $20 and said buys through Coinbase Advanced do not count for the $50 first-buy reward. - Correct: $20 is what our link's sign-up page showed; Coinbase's terms fix no US amount and let it reduce a bonus. The Advanced exclusion belongs to the referral path. The $50 first buy must come within a year of opening the account.
Why. We treated the figure on our own link's banner as a promise, and applied one path's exclusion to the other.

-
Instacart Corrected Correction - We said:
This page said the new customer's Instacart discount waits for a completed delivery. - Correct: The terms tie only the referrer's $10 to a completed delivery; the new customer's discount applies at checkout.
Why. We applied the referrer's trigger to the reader.

-
Chase Corrected Correction - We said:
Our directory listed Chase's checking bonus as $175 to $400, including a $175 Secure Banking offer and a $3,000 Private Client ceiling. - Correct: Chase's offer page carries only the $400 Total Checking bonus for $1,000 of direct deposits in 90 days. No document behind this guide supports the other figures, so the value is $400.
Why. The other figures came from Chase pages this guide never cited.

-
SoFi Corrected Correction - We said:
This page said SoFi's checking bonus is reported as interest income on a 1099 above $600, and that a referral link costs you up to $350. - Correct: SoFi says the bonus is "miscellaneous income" that "may be reportable" on Form 1099-MISC. Its documents do not say whether the $50 referral reward and the direct deposit bonus can be combined; the page now says so instead of stating a cost.
Why. No SoFi page ever said interest income or $600, and the combining claim was our inference.

-
Binance.US Corrected Correction
- We said:
This page said Binance.US referral rewards come with no lock-ups, and gave a February 2025 date and an SEC case as context. - Correct: Binance.US's referral FAQ says the $10 is paid immediately but is "subject to a 30-day withdrawal hold". No Binance.US document gives the February 2025 date or mentions the SEC case; those lines are removed.
Why. The hold was in every read. The context lines had no first-party source.
- We said:
-
TaskRabbit Corrected Correction - We said:
This page quoted TaskRabbit as saying referral amounts can be viewed in the app, and listed caps and rules from its client referral terms. - Correct: That quote comes from TaskRabbit's program for Taskers recruiting Taskers, not the client program, and the client referral terms now return a 404 in every locale. The page now says no public page states the amount; the directory value is Unpublished.
Why. We attached a quote to the wrong program.
- We said:
-
Rover Corrected Correction - We said:
This page said the new user must complete a first stay or walk to get $20, paid by a promo-code email 24 to 48 hours later. - Correct: Rover's promo page gives the new user $20 "for their first booking" at sign-up. The completion condition and the 24 to 48 hour email belong to the referrer's $20.
Why. We applied the referrer's conditions to the reader.
- We said:
-
Koinly Corrected Correction - We said:
This page said a Koinly referral link shows up as a discount at checkout, and that a reader on the free plan was done. - Correct: Koinly's help centre says the referral gives both people a credit "on future purchases", not a checkout discount, and that the free plan "Can't generate any reports".
Why. Both lines were in our copy since at least September 14 and no Koinly page ever supported them.
- We said:
-
Fluz Corrected Correction - We said:
The page's title and headline said Fluz will not let you withdraw until you have $16. - Correct: Fluz's Terms of Use (effective July 14, 2026) and three help articles set the minimum at $15; only its compensation plan says $16. The page now leads with $15 and names the $16 as the plan's figure. It also gave the reader the inviter's $15-spend condition, now separated.
Why. We led with the one document that disagreed with the binding terms.
- We said:
-
Bitrefill Corrected Correction - We said:
Our directory listed Bitrefill's referral reward as $1. - Correct: Bitrefill's help centre says "you both will receive $5 in Bitcoin" as store credit, after the new user spends over $200.
Why. An earlier edit changed the figure from $5 to $1 with no Bitrefill document behind it.
- We said:
-
Wealthfront Corrected Correction - We said:
This page said opening a Wealthfront Cash Account without an invite link gets no rate boost. - Correct: Wealthfront's New Client terms give anyone who opens without a link +0.65% APY for 3 months on up to $150,000. The invite link adds 0.10 points, about $2.50 per $10,000.
Why. We had not read the promotional terms, which load only through a script, and assumed the invite was the only route.
- We said:
-
Delta SkyMiles Corrected Correction - We said:
This page said every SkyMiles Dining member earns 3 miles per $1. - Correct: The dining help centre gives 3 miles per $1 to Select members, who are opted in to email; others earn 1 mile per $2.
Why. We generalized the best tier to everyone.
- We said:
-
Swagbucks Corrected Correction - We said:
This page said every "300 SB" referral figure was old campaign copy that Swagbucks never publishes. - Correct: Swagbucks' own help centre names 300 SB for both sides in two articles. The binding rules still promise only a "specified" bonus, and the page now quotes both.
Why. We read the rules and not the help centre, and treated the absence in one document as absence everywhere.
- We said:
-
Fundrise Corrected Correction - We said:
This page said, after a July correction, that a new investor needs no investment to receive Fundrise's share voucher. - Correct: The invitation terms give the new investor a voucher only if they "ultimately become a client of Fundrise Advisors before the end of the invitation period". The "no purchase or investment necessary" line is addressed to the inviter.
Why. We misread whom the clause was addressed to, twice. The same clauses are word for word in our July 27 copy.
- We said:
-
Nexo Corrected Correction - We said:
In July we removed Nexo's day-15 deposit snapshot and daily balance checks from this page as unverifiable. - Correct: Nexo's US help article, online since June 12, 2026 and adopted by the terms as "Program Rules", states them: the deposit must land within 15 days, a day-15 snapshot sets the tier, and a dip below the tier floor between days 16 and 45 forfeits the deposit reward. The page carries them again.
Why. Our own July 27 audit had quoted that article. The July fix was wrong, not the rules.
- We said:
-
Lyft Corrected Correction - We said:
Our directory listed Lyft's new-rider credit as $2 to $9 off, expiring about 15 days after signup. - Correct: Lyft's referral rules name no amount, call the in-app figure an estimate, and set a 30-day outer limit for the first ride. The row now says Unpublished.
Why. Neither the $2 to $9 range nor the 15 days appears in any Lyft document we have saved.
- We said:
-
Gopuff Corrected Correction - We said:
Our directory listed Gopuff's referral as about 60% off a first order, up to $20. - Correct: Gopuff's referral terms name no amount and bar referrers from stating one. The row now says Unpublished.
Why. Neither figure appears in any Gopuff document we have ever saved. It was not ours to print.
- We said:
-
Visible Corrected Correction - We said:
Our directory said Visible's $20 comes off "your first month of service", paid on the next bill. - Correct: Visible's Bring a Friend terms say $20 off the second month of service on a monthly plan, or off the activation payment on an annual plan.
Why. No copy of the terms we ever saved said first month. The row was written loosely and never checked against the clause.
- We said:
-
Kraken Corrected Correction - We said:
The page led with Kraken's advertised "up to $75" as what a new user gets. - Correct: Kraken's own help articles say "a fixed amount of $20 in your default currency" for each side; the referral page still advertises up to $75, and the terms, which name no amount, say they win over marketing. The page now leads with $20 and names the $75 as advertising.
Why. Our July 27 audit had already recorded the $20 in Kraken's help centre and the page was never updated. Two documents from the same company disagreed and we printed the bigger number.

-
TopCashback Corrected Correction the figure in the directory row
- We said:
$10, shown as the offer's value in the directory, on the offers page and on other guides' cards. - Correct: Unpublished for the new member; the referrer gets $40 once the friend has earned $10 of cash back. The guide is unchanged on this point.
Our directory listed TopCashback at $10 as if that were what a new member gets. It was the referrer's figure, which TopCashback raised to $40 on or before September 24; the new member's own reward is not published anywhere we can read, and the guide has said so all along. The row now says Unpublished.
Why. The directory value was taken from TopCashback's refer-a-friend page, which states the referrer's reward, and was not checked against what a new member gets.

-
Receipt Hog Corrected Correction - We said:
This page quoted Receipt Hog as saying only one account is allowed per household, and told readers a partner under the same roof could not be referred. - Correct: The terms in force, effective November 12, 2025, say one Account per person and that individuals may only open one Account. They contain no household rule.
Why. The sentence we put in quotation marks is not in the terms and we cannot now say where it came from. The quotation has been withdrawn.
- We said:
-
Ledger Corrected Correction - We said:
This page said Ledger publishes no terms for its refer-a-friend programme, that the referral addresses return a 404, and that there were therefore no published rules on eligibility, timing or returns. - Correct: Ledger's refer-a-friend terms are public at shop.ledger.com/pages/ledger-referral-program-terms-and-conditions, marked Modified: July 8th, 2025. They require a full-price purchase outside any promotion, bar anyone who has bought a Ledger before, make both sides wait 30 days, and want the scratch card returned unscratched with any refund.
Why. The addresses we tried in July do return a 404, and we concluded from that that no terms existed. They sit at a different address, and our own data file already pointed at it. A 404 on the URL you guessed is not evidence that a document does not exist.

-
Moomoo Corrected Correction - We said:
This page said the moomoo welcome bonus ends August 31, 2026, and repeated that date in the glance strip, the steps, the deadline note and the disclosure. - Correct: Moomoo's own terms give a promotion period of January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. The offer was live the whole time we were telling readers it had closed.
Why. We recorded the August 31 date from an earlier reading and never re-read the document when that date passed. The verification gate did flag the offer as expired on every build, but the warning was read as 'this offer is over' rather than 'go and check', so for eleven days the page told readers a live offer had ended. The gate now derives an offer's live-or-ended status from its own end date, so a lapsed date can no longer sit on the page looking current, and re-reading the terms is what the warning means.

-
Blockchain.com Corrected Correction - We said:
This page stated that Blockchain.com published no referral program at all. - Correct: Blockchain.com's referral program exists and its own overview article says it is temporarily paused for maintenance and operational improvements.
Why. On July 25 support.blockchain.com was refusing our requests. The main domain showed no referral page, no referral entry in its own site index and no referral clause in its terms, so we concluded the programme did not exist and rewrote the page to say so. That was an over-correction: our original July 24 reading had been right. On July 27 a tool that could reach the support subdomain read the article live. The lesson is the one we apply to everybody else and had not applied to ourselves: when the pages that matter live on a subdomain you cannot reach, finding nothing on the domain you can reach is not evidence that nothing is there.
