Examined Jul 27, 2026 Terms carry no date A friend's Gopuff code saves you an unpublished amount, and it is void if you have ever held Gopuff credit before.
The document that governs it calls itself the Gopuff Influencer Program Rules. There is no split structure to the payout: "Influencers and Referees will receive one reward for each successful referral/new account activation", and "Only one referral credit can be used per order".

There is a minimum basket, and again no number: "Minimum order value may be required for both Influencer and Referee." The credit may carry its own expiry and geographic limits, which Gopuff says will be communicated to the new customer rather than written into the terms. Rewards are earned only for referrals in the United States.
Do this, in this order
- Check whether you have ever had Gopuff credit before. A code cannot be applied if you "already received Gopuff credit from Gopuff or another source on your customer account prior to entry of your Gopuff Code", or if you already applied someone else's code or a different promotion. A gift card, a service-recovery credit, a promotion you half remember: any of those and the code will not apply.
- Get your first order in within thirty days of creating the account. You "must make your first Gopuff purchase before the Referral Credit expires, but in no event later than thirty (30) days from the creation of your Gopuff account". Creating the account early and shopping later is how this one is usually lost.
- Keep the basket clean of regulated goods. "The code cannot be used for age-restricted or regulated items, such as e-cigarettes, vape products, or alcohol." Check what the discount is being applied against before you confirm.
How to get the most
There is no separate public offer to compare it against: Gopuff does not publish a standing welcome discount outside a friend's code, so a working code from someone you know is the only route to this credit. Confirm your market is served and check your own credit's terms in the app before you plan around it.
Is it worth your time?
If you are new to Gopuff, a friend's code costs you nothing, lands on your first order, and is worth taking as long as your basket is not mostly alcohol or vape products and you order inside the thirty days. Convenience delivery is already the most expensive way to buy a bottle of soda; a discount does not change that arithmetic.
If you already use Gopuff and want to send your own code to friends later, the terms call you an "Influencer" and require you to disclose that you are being compensated. Gopuff applies your credit within 4 weeks of your friend's first order, caps total rewards at $3,000 a calendar year, shows no "Effective" or "Last Updated" date on the page, and can change or discontinue the program at any time without notice.
