Walmart Corrected Correction When retailers post holiday return pages
- We said:
Retailers typically publish season-specific return pages in late October - Correct: We re-read Walmart's pages in late October
We removed an unsourced claim about when retailers post holiday return pages.
Why. We hold no source for the timing.

-
Offers Corrected Correction Verdict tally on the fact card
- We said:
Think twice 79 - Correct: Think twice 66; Ended or paused 13
The tally now counts only rows that show a verdict; ended and paused rows get their own line.
Why. The 13 ended or paused rows show that tag, not a verdict.

-
Greenlight Corrected Correction Greenlight forfeiture quote
- We said:
The quote opened with a capital letter mid-sentence and ended with a comma. - Correct: The quote runs word for word, lower case and ending with Greenlight's full stop.
The Greenlight clause is now quoted exactly as written.
Why. The quote capitalized a mid-sentence word and changed its closing punctuation.

-
Nexo Corrected Correction Maintenance period dates
- We said:
Day 15 to Day 45 maintenance window - Correct: Day 16 to Day 45 maintenance period
The balance-holding period is Day 16 to Day 45, after the Day 15 snapshot.
Why. Nexo's help article dates the maintenance period Day 16 to Day 45.

Varo Corrected Correction the link-posting clause
- We said:
"Varo's terms treat posting your referral link on third party social media, blogs or similar sites as grounds for ending your eligibility." - Correct: The current terms (August 12, 2026) carry no such clause; they require consent from the people you send a link to.
This page said Varo's terms treat posting a referral link on social media, blogs or similar sites as grounds for ending eligibility. That clause is in Varo's expired 2022 referral terms (M1.92, expired August 31, 2022), not in any current terms, so the statements are withdrawn.
Why. The clause was quoted in a July 27 audit note from Varo's 2022 referral terms, which expired that August, and it was carried onto the page as if it were current. The current terms were in the archive the whole time and do not contain it.

Marcus Corrected Correction the July 1 change and the joint-account rule
- We said:
"Marcus swapped its cash bonus for a rate boost" on July 1, 2026; only the primary owner of a joint account collects; closing the account clears the queue. - Correct: "Note: if you earned Rate Boosts or other referral bonuses under prior Marcus referral programs, we will continue to apply those consecutively to your OSAs. However, after July 1, 2026, you will no longer see those as Cash Bonus on your Statement as they will be reflected in your APYE." A new joint account gets the boost "provided that all account owners at the time of account opening are New Customers". Marcus does not say when or whether a cash bonus was withdrawn.
This page said Marcus swapped a cash bonus for a rate boost on July 1, 2026, and that only the primary owner of a joint account collects. The terms say only that bonuses from prior programs show in the APYE after July 1, 2026, and that a new joint account gets the boost if every owner is a new customer when it is opened.
Why. We inferred a cash-to-boost swap from one sentence about how prior bonuses appear on statements after July 1, and we applied the existing customer's primary-owner rule to new customers. The terms say neither; we wrote more than they do.

AG1 Corrected Correction what a new customer gets through a referral link
- We said:
A $15 credit for a new customer arriving through a member's Refer a Friend link, sourced to the membership FAQ: "The program allows you to give your friends a $15 credit" (read Oct 1, 2026). - Correct: Unpublished. drinkag1.com/campaign/refer-a-friend, read Oct 2, 2026, says only "Refer a friend and you both get a discount." and shows no amount; the Refer-a-Friend terms, last updated October 1, 2026, name no reward for the new customer.
We printed a $15 credit as the new customer's referral reward. Its only source, AG1's membership FAQ read October 1, was removed by October 2; the Refer-a-Friend terms name no reward for the new customer, and the campaign page promises a discount with no amount. The page now shows the reward as unpublished, and the verdict is Think twice.
Why. The $15 came from a membership-page FAQ addressed to members, and we read it as the friend's reward. The terms, which we had not matched clause by clause, attach the $15 to the person referring. A figure that sits only in a FAQ is not a figure the terms back.

ClassPass Corrected Correction plan after the free month
- We said:
After the trial, the 28-credit plan, currently $59.00 a month plus any tax (sign-up page set to Cheney, Kansas). - Correct: Set by city: 28 credits at $59.00 a month in Cheney, Kansas; 48 credits at $99.00 a month plus any tax in Los Angeles. The trial is still free for 1 month with 10 workouts.
The plan the ClassPass free month turns into depends on your city: the sign-up page set to Los Angeles renews onto a 48-credit plan at $99.00 a month, not the $59.00 plan we printed as if it were universal.
Why. We read the sign-up page once, with its location set to Cheney, Kansas, and printed that city's plan as if it were the plan everyone gets. ClassPass sets the plan by city, which a single reading could not show.

American Express Gold Card Corrected Correction welcome offer
- We said:
Our guide said the public Gold Card page prints no amount, spend requirement or window, only “Find out your offer, which could be”. - Correct: AS HIGH AS 100,000 Membership Rewards® points after you spend $8,000 in purchases on your new Card within the first 6 months of Card Membership. Welcome offers vary and you may not be eligible for an offer.
The Gold Card page prints its welcome offer: as high as 100,000 Membership Rewards points after $8,000 in purchases in the first 6 months. Our page had said no figure was printed.
Why. The offer figure appears only after the page loads, and our Sep 25 read missed it; the page showed it on Sep 25, Sep 30 and Oct 2.
- We said:
-
TaskRabbit Corrected Correction Tasker terms date
- We said:
Our guide said neither programme shows a last-updated date. - Correct: Neither page prints one; the help centre logs the Tasker terms as last edited February 4, 2026. The Delivery terms carry no date.
TaskRabbit's help centre dates the Tasker Referral Program Terms to February 4, 2026.
Why. The page did not check the help-centre record.

-
Walmart Corrected Correction items the holiday extension may exclude
- We said:
Our guide said how the holiday extension treats phones, electronics and appliances was not published. - Correct: Corporate Return Policy (updated Aug 17, 2026): “Some exceptions may apply (e.g., wireless phones, protection plans, major appliances, Dyson products, and select seasonal and luxury goods).”
Walmart does publish holiday-extension exceptions: wireless phones, protection plans, major appliances, Dyson products and select seasonal and luxury goods.
Why. We read only the walmart.com pages; the exceptions sit on Walmart's corporate policy page.

-
Receipt Hog Corrected Correction accounts per household, and redemption time
- We said:
Our guide said a partner under the same roof can hold their own account (the terms say one Account per person), and that no processing time is published for redemptions. - Correct: Help centre: “Only one account is allowed per household.” Terms: one Account per person. Redemptions “reviewed and approved within 7 days of your request date.”
Receipt Hog's help centre allows one account per household, and says cash-outs are approved within 7 days; this page said otherwise.
Why. On Sep 18 the household line was withdrawn because the terms lack it, without re-reading the help article that states it; the redemption-time article had never been read.

-
Amazon Prime Corrected Correction what counts as using your benefits, and the 3-business-day window
- We said:
Our guide said Amazon never defines what counts as used, and that the 3-business-day figure was unverified and not printed. - Correct: Within 3 business days of paying: full fee less benefits used. Otherwise a full refund only with no eligible purchases or Prime benefits since the latest charge. Refund processed in three to five business days.
Amazon's Prime Terms do define the refund condition, and the 3-business-day figure is real: it is a cancellation window, not a refund speed.
Why. In July the Prime Terms and the cancellation help page were unavailable, and the cancel page's address has since moved; both opened on Oct 2.

-
Chase Corrected Correction Chase Secure Banking $175
- We said:
The page listed a $175 Chase Secure Banking bonus for 10 qualifying transactions in 60 days as the highest-paying route with no direct deposit. - Correct: No document behind our Chase guide supports that offer, so it is gone. Navy Federal's $400 for new members counts $500 a month of your own deposits for 3 of 4 months, for readers eligible to join.
The page no longer lists a $175 Chase Secure Banking bonus; Navy Federal's $400 new-member offer, which counts your own deposits, is listed instead.
Why. The $175 figure was removed from /chase on September 25, 2026 for the same reason, and this page was not updated with it.

Discover it Cash Back Corrected Correction Refer a Friend statement credit for a new cardholder
- We said:
Our guide said the card page names no refer-a-friend link or code, and that no link of ours or anyone else's is involved in the offer. - Correct: Discover's credit card Refer a Friend page lists Discover it Cash Back among its cards. A new cardholder who applies online through a cardmember's link and makes a purchase posted within three months of opening gets a statement credit; the cardmember's offer runs to 11:59 pm ET on December 31, 2026, so apply before then. The page names no amount.
A new Discover it Cash Back cardholder who applies online through a cardmember's Refer a Friend link gets a statement credit after a purchase in the first 3 months.
Why. We read only the card page and missed the separate Refer a Friend page, which our Discover Bank guide already quoted.

Stash Corrected Correction Referral reward range for a new customer
- We said:
Our guide gave the range as $5 to $100 cash or $20 to $100 in stock, from Stash's statement dated June 25, 2025, and called Stash's two statements contradictory. - Correct: The statement addressed to invited customers, effective May 13, 2021, opens “You have received a designated referral invitation” and sets $5 to $50 cash or stock capped at $20 ($20 cash if the stock is not claimed within seven days), for a deposit of at least one cent. The June 25, 2025 statement is written for the customer who sends the invitation.
A new Stash customer invited by a friend gets $5 to $50 in cash or a stock reward worth up to $20, under the statement Stash addresses to invited customers.
Why. We read the referrer's statement as the visitor's.
- We said:
-
Rover Corrected Correction whether your $20 credit expires
- We said:
Our guide said Rover's own pages disagree on whether your credit expires. - Correct: Rover says the $20 is for your first booking and states no deadline for it.
This page said Rover contradicts itself on whether your $20 credit expires. Both expiry statements describe credit earned by the person who refers; no Rover page states an expiry for the new user's $20, which Rover says is for the first booking.
Why. The promo page's “never expire” line follows the sentence addressed to the referrer, and the referral terms' expiry clauses sit under rewards for referring; we applied both to the new user's credit.

-
Nexo Corrected Correction New York eligibility and the US exchange rule
- We said:
The hub said Nexo's referral page does not state a New York exclusion, and that the exchange task excludes stablecoin-to-stablecoin swaps. - Correct: The help center says the program is unavailable in New York; for US accounts only crypto-to-USD and USD-to-crypto swaps count.
The troubleshooting hub now says Nexo's help center excludes New York and that only crypto-to-USD and USD-to-crypto swaps count for US accounts.
Why. The hub page was not updated after the Sep 25 Nexo re-read.

-
Groundfloor Corrected Correction
referral amount and sign-up rule
- We said:
Our row gave a single $100 figure and said the referral link cannot be added later. - Correct: $50 for $100 invested on two undated Groundfloor pages, $100 for $1,000 on its only dated one; a referral link or code is registered during sign-up.
Groundfloor's pages give $50 for $100 or $100 for $1,000 in restricted credit, and its help center says a referral can only be registered at sign-up, by link or code.
Why. The row carried a single figure and a rule the sources do not state; the page already printed both figures.
- We said:
-
Fetch Corrected Correction Where to find Refer a friend
- We said:
Our guide said it sits on the Profile tab. - Correct: The page names the Account tab and notes that some Fetch help pages still say Profile.
Fetch's referral page and two help articles put Refer a friend on the Account tab.
Why. We followed one help article without checking Fetch's other pages.
- We said:
-
Anytime Fitness Corrected Correction Moving away
- We said:
The page said nothing about moving is published nationally. - Correct: It quotes the FAQ: memberships transfer on relocation of more than 10 miles, with no transfer fee.
Anytime Fitness's FAQ answers a move with a free transfer, not a cancellation.
Why. We missed the transfer answer on the same FAQ page.
- We said:
-
HelloFresh Corrected Correction First-time customer quote
- We said:
The page quoted the article word for word. - Correct: The page paraphrases it and says the article is no longer public; the terms quote that vouchers are for first-time users stands.
A quote from HelloFresh's referral-code help article is now a paraphrase, because the article sits behind a sign-in.
Why. No saved copy held the quoted wording.
- We said:
-
Rakuten Corrected Correction Whole Foods and the $50
- We said:
The page said the Amazon.com exclusion covers Whole Foods. - Correct: It separates Whole Foods orders placed on Amazon.com (excluded) from other Whole Foods purchases (no Rakuten store, so no cash back).
Whole Foods orders placed through Amazon.com are excluded, and Rakuten has no Whole Foods store, so other Whole Foods purchases earn no cash back.
Why. We applied the Amazon.com clause to Whole Foods without checking how Rakuten treats the store.
- We said:
-
DoorDash Corrected Correction Uber Eats comparison clock
- We said:
The page said the Uber Eats reward clock is 60 days. - Correct: It says the Uber Eats invitation expires 90 days after it was sent. Separately, the DoorDash promotional terms carry five distinct dollar figures, not six.
The Uber Eats comparison now uses the clock that applies to you: the invitation expires 90 days after it was sent.
Why. The 60-day clock is the referrer's reward clock, and we miscounted the figures in July.

-
Claude Corrected Correction Claude referral links
- We said:
The page said the 2025 Claude 4 Invite Sweepstakes link was the only referral link Anthropic ever issued and that nothing replaced it. - Correct: The page adds the guest passes Anthropic announced on December 16, 2025 (three per Max subscriber, one free week of Pro each) and says we found no help article giving their current terms. The Claude guide and its directory entry now say the same.
Anthropic also lets Max subscribers share guest passes, each worth one free week of Pro.
Why. We checked only Anthropic's help center and missed its announcement on X.
