Bitrefill Examined Jul 27, 2026 Paid in bitcoin Private links only

Bitrefill pays $5 to each side. It also forbids anyone from posting the code where you would find it.

Worth it ifyou were already going to spend $200 or more at Bitrefill. That is a 2.5% one-time return on a large, specific purchase, which is fine as a bonus and a poor reason to buy anything you did not want.

$5in bitcoin for you and $5 for the person whose link you used, credited once you have spent more than $200 at Bitrefill and verified your email

Bitrefill sells gift cards and mobile top-ups, meaning credit you load onto a prepaid phone or a service account, and it takes crypto as payment. Bitrefill's own wording: "Invite your friends to try out Bitrefill with your unique referral code! After they have spent over $200, you both will receive $5 in bitcoin to your Rewards Balance." So $200 of spending is a realistic figure for someone who genuinely uses it, and a tall order for someone who does not.

  • What the new account has to spend before anything is credited$200
  • What each side receives once that threshold is passed$5

Both figures come from the wording quoted above, on Bitrefill’s own refer-a-friend page.

You will not find a Bitrefill code on this site, or on any site that reads its own terms. Bitrefill's referral terms prohibit "spamming, hidden iframes, and public posting of your referral code," and state plainly: "This is not an affiliate program meant for re-marketing by professionals or inclusion in external content or websites." A deals site that publishes a Bitrefill code is breaking Bitrefill's rules, and Bitrefill reserves the right to strip bonuses from every account involved. Ask someone you actually know for their link instead.

Do this, in this order

  1. Get the link privately, from a person. Someone who already has a Bitrefill account can send you their code directly. A code lifted from a public list is what Bitrefill's anti-spam clause targets, and both accounts can lose the bonus.
  2. Use the link before you spend a single dollar. "Unfortunately we are not able to retroactively credit referral rewards if the link was not used." Sign up through the link first, then shop. There is no support ticket that fixes this afterwards.
  3. Verify your email address. Bitrefill names it as a condition, not a formality: "Your friends first need to reach $200 of spending and verify their email address." An unverified email holds the reward for both of you indefinitely.
  4. Know which $200 is being asked of you, and assume the stricter reading. Bitrefill's main sentence says the reward lands "after they have spent over $200," meaning the new user. A strapline in the FAQ on the same page says "both get $5 in Bitcoin after spending $200 each." Bitrefill has not reconciled the two. If you are the referrer, do not count on being paid without your own spending history.
  5. Do not put the $200 through the excluded products. Spending on FastBitcoins, Crypto Vouchers, and Thor products (Turbo and Recharge) generates no referral bonus. It is possible to spend well over $200 and qualify for nothing if it all went through those.
  6. Expect roughly ten days, and a human deciding. "After that, referral credits are reviewed and credited in 10 days." The terms are blunter: "The allocation of rewards is not automatic and is conditioned upon prior review of compliance with these terms." Meeting the conditions starts a review; it does not guarantee a payout.
  7. One account, one person. "Any attempt to misuse this program will result in exclusion from the ability to participate and removal of any bonuses from the accounts involved." Note the word removal: bonuses already credited can be taken back, not just refused.

The fine print that can still cost you the reward

Neither page carries a last-updated date. Bitrefill's referral page and its referral terms both state no revision date, so there is no way to tell when a condition last moved.

Bitrefill can end your eligibility, or the program, at will. The terms reserve the right to "remove eligibility from any Customer for any reason at any time," and to "extend or expire this program or change the terms at any time."

The reward is bitcoin, so its value moves. It is credited to your Bitrefill rewards balance, called the Cashback Balance in places on the same page. Between qualifying and spending it, the dollar value can drift either way.

Residency and age rules are not in these terms. The refer-a-friend pages set no geographic or age conditions at all. Any limits of that kind would sit in Bitrefill's general terms of service, which we did not read for this page.

There is no published lifetime ceiling. On how many friends you can invite, Bitrefill says: "Not at all! The more the merrier." No total dollar cap is stated anywhere in the terms, so the absence of a cap is unconfirmed rather than promised.

Is it worth your time?

If Bitrefill is already how you buy gift cards or top up a phone with crypto, then yes: get a friend's link before your next purchase, clear $200 in the normal course of things, and take the $5. It costs you nothing extra. If you have never used Bitrefill, look at the shape of it honestly: a $200 spending gate for $5, and every route to a code that does not run through a person you know is against Bitrefill's own rules. It is a strange offer to chase, and a perfectly good one to accept if it happens to fit.
