The two ways in
Path 1: the referral
Sign up through our referral link and make one qualifying crypto purchase. Our link’s sign-up page said “Sign up now to get $20 in Bitcoin” when we last read it, on Oct 2. Coinbase’s terms print no US amount (“the amount of the bonus varies based on country”) and let Coinbase reduce or withhold a bonus, so trust the figure on your screen, not ours. Payouts arrive in 5 to 15 days.
Path 2: going direct
Sign up with no link and make one single first buy of $50+ within a year of opening the account. The reward is random, $10 to $2,000 in bitcoin: 99% of people land between $10 and $100, and 1% get $1,000 to $2,000.
The wheel can beat $20, and roughly once in a hundred spins it beats it spectacularly. Coinbase does not say how the 99% spread between $10 and $100, so nobody outside Coinbase knows how often it beats $20. It also needs a $50 buy-in.

Before you sign up
- Decide the fork first. There is no switching after the account exists.
- The wheel needs one single $50+ buy within a year. Two $25 purchases pay $0, crypto you transferred in does not count, and Coinbase may give you less than a year (it tells you how long you have).
- The referral bonus needs a real purchase, not just a deposit. Buy crypto on the main Coinbase app within 90 days of verifying your identity. Coinbase does not publish the US minimum in its terms, so use the figure it shows you at signup and add a little margin.
- Pay with a bank transfer, debit card, or credit card. Coinbase’s terms name those three and only those three. Funding the buy any other way can leave you outside the offer even though the purchase itself went through.
