About Fine Print Doctor
We read companies’ terms and tell you what they mean for you.
Companies put the rules that matter in the fine print. Those rules decide whether you can cancel, return something or get a refund, what you pay, what you get, and what rights you give up. We read each company’s own terms and tell you in plain words what they mean for you. Every quote shows the date we read it.
Who is behind it
Our guides are written under the pen name Dr. Fine Print. We are an independent site, and nobody tells us what to recommend. The “Doctor” is a name, not a medical or financial title.
How we work
We read the full terms, quote them with the date we read them, and tell you what they mean for you. When a company changes its terms, we update the guide. See how we work, and Corrections for the times we got something wrong.
How we are paid
Some links on this site are referral links. If you sign up through one, we earn a reward. It costs you nothing, and it never changes what we tell you. The disclosure page has the details.
Please note
Companies change their terms often. Everything here is general information, not financial, tax or legal advice, and the company’s current terms always have the final word. If something looks out of date, write to us.
