Phone & internet referral credits
Carriers and internet providers mostly pay in bill credit, and some in prepaid cards. The traps are port-in rules, slow credits, and terms that promise less than the ad.

How to read this list
Most carrier referrals pay in bill credit, which comes off a bill you already pay. Several pay on a prepaid card instead, and each row says which. Either way it is slow. Google Fi's $60 takes about 60 days to land, so treat a bill credit here as a discount on a later bill, not sign-up money.
Read the terms, not the banner. The ad gives an amount; the document behind it decides whether you must port a number in, which plans count, how long you must stay, and sometimes whether the amount is promised at all. Each guide names the rule that decides whether you are paid, and says so when a carrier's own pages disagree with each other.
