Xfinity pays a referred customer $50 per service on a prepaid card about four months after activation, and nothing to anyone who had Xfinity in the prior 120 days.
The range is our arithmetic from the terms: $50 for Xfinity Internet, plus $50 for each Xfinity Mobile line up to 5 lines, which the terms total at $250, makes $300 at most for one new customer. Mobile lines count only when added to a qualifying Xfinity internet service, so a new customer cannot earn the Mobile reward alone. The “up to $500” in Xfinity's headline is the most any one person can earn in a calendar year.
What pays what
| You, buying eligible Xfinity Internet through a customer's link | $50 card |
|---|---|
| Each Xfinity Mobile line you add to that internet service, up to 5 lines | $50 a line, $250 at most |
| Anything you earn above $500 in a calendar year | Forfeited, no carry-over |
| Internet Essentials, NOW services and bulk internet | $0 |
| A customer of any Xfinity service in the prior 120 days | $0 |
| Residents of Tennessee | $0 |
The terms also shut out Comcast employees and the people they live or share an account with, third-party sales agents, and landlords, property managers and leasing agents referring their own tenants. Anyone who receives service on a bulk basis is ineligible even for services bought directly. Rewards go only to Comcast residential customers aged 18 or over.
The Referred Customer must not have been a customer of any Xfinity service for a period of 120 days prior to purchasing Eligible Services through a Referral Link, except that the Referred Customer may be an Xfinity Internet customer if the Referred Customer is adding Xfinity Mobile.
Do this, in this order
- Count back 120 days. If anyone on your account had any Xfinity service in that window, wait or skip the link, unless you are an Internet customer adding Mobile.
- Ask an Xfinity Internet customer for their link, and use it for the whole purchase. The terms say the referred customer must enroll through the link and then buy the services through Xfinity's digital platform using the same link. They say nothing about an order placed by phone or in a store counting. You may use only one referral link per eligible service.
- Activate within 30 days of the day the link was shared. The clock starts when your friend sends it. Comcast may also reject the purchase in its sole discretion if you do not meet its standard qualifications.
- Change nothing for 90 days. The terms say: “If any Eligible Services are cancelled, downgraded or changed during this 90 day period, the Reward (if any) will be based on only the remaining Eligible Services satisfying the Program and Reward criteria on the 90th day.” Xfinity's FAQ defines good standing as no unpaid balance, no temporary disconnection, and services that stay active.
- Look for the card email and spend it. The support article says it comes from Xfinity's incentive tracker address and tells you to check your junk folder. With no email on the account, a physical card is mailed to the account holder. “Prepaid Mastercard valid for up to 6 months; unused funds will forfeit after the valid thru date.” The card cannot be redeemed for cash.
Where Xfinity's pages differ, and what the terms add
Two timings that turn out to be one. The terms say: “Subject to the satisfaction of all Program and Rewards criteria, a Reward will be sent approximately 16 to 18 weeks after the Referred Customer activates the Eligible Service.” The program FAQ says the reward email comes 4 to 6 weeks after both accounts have stayed in good standing for 90 days. Ninety days is about 13 weeks, and 13 plus 4 to 6 is 17 to 19 weeks, so the two agree to within a week. Either way, plan on roughly four months.
Whose link counts. The terms require the customer whose link you use to be an existing Xfinity Internet customer in good standing. The footer on the program's front page and on the support article says only that it is open to existing Xfinity customers in good standing. The terms are the stricter reading.
Stacking. The FAQ says the reward can be combined with other Xfinity offers and promotions. The terms say: “Rewards may not be combined with other referral rewards or similar programs.” Read together: a sign-up deal is fine, a second referral scheme is not.
Tax and liability. The terms make each participant solely liable for any taxes on the reward and require them to indemnify Comcast for any tax claim connected with it. They also cap Comcast's liability to a participant at $500 per calendar year, and say Comcast's decisions are final and binding.
No end date, and copy that shifts. Xfinity calls this a limited time offer and publishes no end date. “The Program may be terminated at any time by Comcast in its sole discretion.” The reward type and amount can change at any time too. On Sep 18, 2026 the program's front page served two different headline wordings on two fetches, with the same dollar figures in both. The support article carries a 2025 copyright line; the program site carries 2026.
Is it worth your time?
If Xfinity is the internet provider you were going to choose, ask a neighbor or relative who already has it for a link before you order. It costs you nothing extra, it combines with Xfinity's own sign-up offers, and $50 for Internet plus $50 a line for Mobile is a fair return for ordering through one link instead of another. Then put a reminder in your calendar for four months out, because a card email that lands in a junk folder and sits there for 6 months is worth nothing.
It is not a reason to pick Xfinity over another provider. We hold no plan prices in our evidence, so this page compares none, and a $50 card does not settle a choice of internet provider. If you left Xfinity less than 120 days ago, or live in Tennessee, there is nothing here for you. If you are already an Internet customer, the only way in as a referred customer is to add Xfinity Mobile as a new Mobile customer through someone else's link.
