Bitcoin Depot: bankrupt, and the machines are switched off
The only entry here where the risk is worse than a wasted afternoon. Bitcoin Depot filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on May 18, 2026 and took its entire bitcoin ATM network offline the same day; regulators in Louisiana and Arkansas issued consumer alerts. The sign-up bonus deal blogs still list dates to 2018 and 2019, already marked expired on those pages. If money is already stuck, claims run through the bankruptcy court. Swan Bitcoin: the program was retired, the blog posts were not
Swan's own help centre says the Swan Force program has officially been retired, and that old referral URLs no longer work for new sign-ups; bonus lists still carry a Swan reward as though nothing happened. Swan remains a real, bitcoin-only service; what ended is the referral reward, not the company. The Swan guide points at a crypto offer that does still pay.
Blockchain.com: paused, which is not the same as dead
A banner on Blockchain.com's own referral page says the program is temporarily paused for maintenance and operational improvements. Paused may come back with different terms than the ones quoted around the internet today; right now, signing up earns nothing. Exodus: the provider said it, in its own knowledge base
Exodus published an article whose title states the referral program has ended, yet the older referral terms document remains live on Exodus's own servers, which is why aggregators keep feeding on it. A second reason codes keep circulating: a video game shares the name, so search results mix the two. The Exodus guide lays out both traps.
Trust Wallet: there was never a program to end
Different in kind. Trust Wallet runs no referral, affiliate, or invite program, and none appears anywhere on its live site. The token figure repeated across dozens of coupon pages has no official source at all: it is not stale, it is invented. Ally GET300: the bonus is closed, the referral is not
Ally's own page says the GET300 bonus signup is closed, and required an account opened no later than November 10, 2025; there is no grandfathering. Its separate refer-a-friend program is alive, with a genuinely unusual feature for a bank offer: one route needs no direct deposit at all. Covered in the Ally guide.
Zengo: the page that described it is a 404
Zengo's referral program page now returns a 404 and no invite link appears anywhere on the live site. The amounts still circulating come from aggregator sites, not Zengo, and contradict each other. eToro agreed to acquire the company in April 2026, so terms are exactly the sort of thing likely to have changed. Why the dead ones keep ranking
Aggregators copy each other rather than the source, so one stale number becomes a dozen agreeing pages.
What to do instead
- Check the provider's own page before you trust any figure. Not a review site, not a coupon board.
- Treat two sites agreeing as one source. Two matching numbers with no primary link between them are one claim, copied.
- Be suspicious of a number with no date next to it. Almost every dead program here still has an undated document somewhere saying it pays.
- Look for a live alternative in the same category. The full directory is sorted so you can compare what is actually running.
