Exodus retired the program, and the evidence is a title on its own support knowledge base: an article called “The Exodus referral program has ended”. Not paused, not being reviewed, not regional. Ended. We confirmed that title against two independent search indexes pointing at that exact Exodus address. So there is no code to hunt for and no invite to ask a friend for.

One deliberate omission. Search engines summarize that knowledge base article as describing a final payout on a particular date, in a particular currency, on a particular network. We could not open the article body itself, only confirm its title, so we are not printing the date, the currency or the network. The name collision that trips up half the internet
EXODUS is also a video game, from a different company entirely. It ran its own refer-a-friend, attached to something called the Founder’s Program, and several referral aggregators have quietly merged the two into one listing. If you have seen an “Exodus referral” that talks about founders, friends of founders, or in-game rewards, you were reading about the game, not the wallet.
That one has ended too. In the game’s own words: “The ability to become an EXODUS Founder, or to Opt-In as a Friend of a Founder to possibly qualify for the Founder’s Friend Referral Reward, ended on August 30, 2025, at 11:59:59 PM (Central Time).” So both Exoduses ran a referral program, both closed it, and the pages that blended them are now doubly wrong.
Do this, in this order
- Stop looking for the code, and be skeptical of the site that offered you one. The program has ended. Any page still handing out an Exodus referral code in 2026 either has not checked since 2024 or is not checking at all, and that tells you what the rest of its listings are worth too.
- Do not treat the old terms page as proof of life. It still loads, it still carries a 2024 last-updated line, and it is the reason this myth has legs. A terms page describes an offer, it does not keep the offer running.
- Check which Exodus you are reading about. If founders and friends-of-founders appear anywhere in it, that is the video game and it has nothing to do with your crypto wallet. Its own program ended on August 30, 2025.
- If you had a pending reward, go to the source. Read Exodus’s own wind-down article and, if you need to, contact Exodus support. Do not act on a third-party summary of a payout date, including the ones we declined to repeat above.
- Judge the wallet on the wallet. Exodus is a self-custody software wallet, meaning the app on your own device holds the keys to your crypto instead of a company holding them for you. That is a real decision, and it should be made on how the software suits you, never on a bonus.
- Download it only from exodus.com or an official app store. Fake wallet apps and lookalike download pages are one of the oldest ways people lose everything in a single install. A search advert is not an official source.
- Write the recovery phrase on paper and tell nobody. A self-custody wallet gives you a recovery phrase, a list of words that is the master key to all of it. Write it down, keep it offline and private, never type it into a website, never photograph it, and never share it with anyone. Exodus will never ask you for it. Anyone who does is robbing you, whatever their support badge says.
Is it worth your time?
No, and we would rather say that in one sentence than dress a dead program up as an opportunity. There is no Exodus referral reward, there has not been for some time, and the only thing keeping the search alive is an old terms page and a lot of pages copying each other. If you want a software wallet, choose one on how it works and how it feels to use. If you want a signup bonus, go where the terms are published and current: an exchange offer will pay you a real amount for a real, checkable action, which is more than any Exodus code can do in 2026.
