Shopkick filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy on May 29, 2026, and its website now shows one paragraph. There is no bonus left to collect.
We keep this page up because other sites have not taken theirs down. Search for a Shopkick referral code today and you will still find listings that advertise a sign-up bonus as if the app were open for business. Those listings do not reflect Shopkick's own pages. We went to the company's website for its terms and found that it no longer has any. We are not repeating the old bonus figures here, because no Shopkick document we could read states one.
What pays what
| You, signing up with anyone's Shopkick invite code today | Nothing. No sign-up page is served |
|---|---|
| A Shopkick sign-up bonus listed on a referral-code site | Not on any Shopkick page |
| Kicks you already held in the app | The notice does not say |
| Help from Shopkick support | The support site does not resolve |
Shopkick, Inc. filed for relief under chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code on May 29, 2026, in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
That sentence is the whole offer now. It is followed by one more, which we quote in full below, and then the page ends.
Do this, in this order
- Do not sign up, and ignore any Shopkick invite code. A referral reward needs a company to credit it and an account to credit it to. Shopkick's site offers neither. A listing that still shows a Shopkick bonus was written before the filing and has not been checked against the company since.
- Look at the notice yourself. Open Shopkick's home page, then its old privacy policy address. When we did, both showed the same paragraph, character for character. That is worth seeing with your own eyes before you believe us or anyone else.
- If you held a balance, write down the court and the case number. The second and last sentence of the notice reads: “Information about Shopkick’s bankruptcy can be found on the Bankruptcy Court’s docket at Case No. 26-10877.” The court is the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The notice does not link to the docket, and it does not say whether a member's kicks or unredeemed rewards are worth anything in the case. We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice. A question about a claim belongs with the court's records or with a lawyer, not with an app.
- Be careful with anyone who says they speak for Shopkick. We could not reach a single Shopkick support channel. If a message claims to come from Shopkick and asks for a password, a card number or a fee to release a balance, the company's own site gives you no way to confirm it. The only first-party facts are the filing date, the court and the case number.
- If what you wanted was cash back for shopping, use an app that is still operating. Rakuten, Ibotta and Fetch are listed at the foot of this page, each read against its own terms.
What Shopkick no longer publishes
Any terms at all. We normally grade an offer by reading the referral terms, the terms of use and the privacy policy. For Shopkick none of the three could be read. The privacy policy address serves the bankruptcy notice in place of a policy, and the rules article sat on a help center host that no longer resolves.
What happens to members. The notice is two sentences long. It does not mention members, kicks, gift cards, pending rewards, personal data or a contact address. It does not say how to file a claim or whether one is possible. It names a court and a case number and stops.
Whether the app still opens. We do not know. The App Store listing loaded for us without any readable text, so we did not use it as a source. Even if the app still opens on a phone that already has it, the website gives a new member nowhere to join and gives nobody a reward.
Any past bonus figure. Because no Shopkick terms page survives, we have no company document that states what an invite used to pay. We will not borrow a number from someone else's list to fill the gap.
Why this page has no link for Shopkick
Because no postable link exists. There is no program to join, no code that could be redeemed and nothing to send you to except the notice itself. The two buttons below go to Shopkick's own addresses so you can confirm what we read.
Is it worth your time?
No. There is nothing to weigh here: no reward, no conditions, no deadline, only a filing date. The useful part of this page is the warning about everything else you will read. Bonus listings outlive the companies they describe because nobody goes back to delete them, and a listing for a company in bankruptcy looks exactly like a listing for a healthy one. The test is always the same, and it takes a moment: open the company's own site and see whether the offer is there. For Shopkick, what is there is a court, a date and a case number.
If you were a member with a balance, we are sorry that the company's own page tells you so little. The case number above is the one solid thing it gives you.
