Swan Bitcoin Examined Aug 15, 2026 Program retired Nothing to claim

Swan retired its referral program. The $10 you keep reading about no longer exists.

Think twicethere is no Swan referral reward to collect. Swan’s own help center says the Swan Force program has officially been retired and that old referral URLs no longer work for new sign-ups. Swan is still a real, bitcoin-only service. It is just not a bonus, and any page telling you otherwise has not been checked in a long time.
RetiredSwan’s words, not ours: “the Swan Force program has officially been retired” and “your custom referral URLs will no longer be active for new sign-ups”. Read on Swan’s help center on July 24, 2026.

Search for a Swan bonus and you will find dozens of lists promising $10 in free Bitcoin, several of them updated this year. That money is gone.

  • What bonus lists still promise a new Swan signup$10
  • What a Swan referral link pays you today$0

Swan retired Swan Force, and no live Swan page states a cash signup bonus. What a new client is offered instead is a waived buy fee on their first $250, which is a discount rather than a payment. The $10 survives on other people’s lists and in one undated Swan article about the retired programme.

Where the $10 comes from. The only Swan-owned page we could find that still mentions it is an undated education article about ways to earn bitcoin, which says each person you refer gets $10 of free Bitcoin when they sign up. That article is describing Swan Force, the exact program Swan has since retired. Even while the program ran, the new-user bonus was never promised: Swan’s own legal terms said the company “in its sole discretion may offer” referrals certain incentives.

What Swan still is, and the two things it is currently offering

Swan is a bitcoin-only service: no hundred tokens, no casino, just recurring and one-off bitcoin buying. When we re-read swanbitcoin.com on August 15, 2026 its homepage carried two promotions, and both are fee cuts, not bonuses. The first is the one that was there in July: “Buy fee cut in half. 1% to 0.50% through September 8.” The second is new since our July reading, and it is the only line on the page aimed specifically at new customers: “No buy fee on your first $250 for new clients.”

Neither one hands you money. A waived buy fee on $250 is worth $2.50 at Swan’s ordinary 1% fee, and Swan does not say how the two promotions interact. Half a percentage point saved on a $2,000 purchase is $10, the entire mythical signup bonus, and on $10,000 it is $50. Confirm both are still running before you count on them.

Do this, in this order

  1. Stop looking for the $10. It is not hiding behind a code or a special link. Swan retired the program that paid it, and no live Swan page states a cash signup bonus of any size. The one thing Swan now offers a new client is “no buy fee on your first $250”, which is a discount on a purchase you make, not money you receive.
  2. If you are owed old Swan Force money, that is a separate matter. Swan says all pending payouts will be processed and sent to clients before the end of the year, covering the 25% share of fees from your referrals’ bitcoin purchases during their first year. If your referral earnings for the calendar year exceed $600, Swan needs a W-9 from you if you are in the US, or a W8BEN if you are not, before it can pay. Missing tax paperwork is the most common reason a final payout stalls, so send it early.
  3. If you wanted a signup bonus, go where one is published. Kraken pays you up to $75 for a single real crypto trade, with the amount stated on its own pages rather than inferred from a blog.
  4. If you specifically want Swan, judge it on fees. Compare Swan’s current buy fee against whatever you use now, on the size you actually buy. That comparison is worth real money every single purchase.
  5. Treat any page still advertising a Swan bonus as stale. A site listing a retired offer has not opened the terms in a year, which means you cannot trust its other numbers either.

Open swanbitcoin.comStill a fine bitcoin-only service. No signup bonus, and no reward for us.

Is it worth your time?

As a bonus, no, because there is no bonus. As a place to buy bitcoin, Swan remains a serious, narrow, bitcoin-only option, and the halved buy fee is worth more to a regular buyer than the $10 ever was. What we would not do is open a Swan account expecting a reward. If the bonus was the point, take a live one and come back to Swan later on its merits.
