All offers / Subscriptions / Oura
A friend’s Oura link is 10% off, and only inside Oura’s own store.
The buyer’s side is simple: one discount, one condition, one place it works. The referrer’s side ends in a single item of merchandise, and Oura’s own terms disagree about how many friends it takes to get there. The 10% lives in Oura’s help centre, not in the binding terms, so treat it as the number Oura publishes today.
What pays what
| You, buying a Ring 5 or Ring 4 in Oura’s online store on a friend’s link | 10% off |
|---|---|
| You, buying the same ring from an authorised retailer | No discount |
| You, if a sale or another promotion is already applied | Cannot be combined |
| Friends 1 to 10 on the same link | 10% off each |
| Your friend, after one or two qualifying ring buyers | Nothing |
| Your friend, after three verified qualifying ring buyers | One item of merchandise |
| That merchandise, converted to cash | Not permitted |
| This site, for writing this page | Nothing |
Oura’s help centre says the referral code "can only be redeemed by 10 people", while the binding terms cap qualified referrals at three. Ten friends can take the discount off one link, and seven of them earn the person who shared it precisely nothing.
Do this, in this order
- Get the link from a human being. Oura’s terms state that customers must directly refer a friend, and are "expressly prohibited from publicly posting their referral link in forums such as message boards, coupon sites, social media platforms, etc." The person you ask needs a Gen3 or later ring and an active Oura membership.
- Check the ring is one the discount names. Oura’s help centre says the link gives up to 10 friends or family a 10% discount on any Oura Ring 5 or Oura Ring 4, titanium or ceramic. Accessories, chargers and the membership are not in that sentence.
- Buy in Oura’s own store, and nowhere else. The discount is void at authorised retailers. If you prefer a retailer for returns, delivery or a card offer, that is a fair trade, but make it knowingly.
- Compare the referral price against whatever sale is live. Refer a Friend offers cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions, so check both and take the bigger one.
- Use the exact link you were given. A purchase through any other link or method does not count as a qualified referral and earns no credit. Copy the link rather than retyping a code, and finish the purchase in the browser you opened it in.
- Tell the person who shared it what they are actually owed. They get one item of merchandise, not money, and only if two more people also buy rings on that link.
- Price the membership before you count the discount. The referral only ever touches the hardware price, and neither document we read puts a figure on the membership, so check it on Oura’s own pricing page first.
What the person who shared the link actually gets
It is not even run by Oura alone: "The Program is administered by Oura, in collaboration with UrbanCave, Inc. d/b/a SOMO Sleep Fitness."
The reward is merchandise, and it is not money. A reward "shall mean one item of merchandise available at" the SOMO Sleep Fitness refer-a-friend page. "Rewards have no monetary value and may not be redeemed for cash. Rewards are not transferable and may not be auctioned, traded, bartered, or sold."
Which item, in what size or colour, is not promised, and it cannot be sent back. "Oura does not guarantee availability of any particular item of merchandise, including size, color, or style, at any time, and any Reward will be allocated subject to availability", and "Redeeming Rewards shall be considered a final sale, and Oura does not accept returns or exchanges." You do not choose. You receive.
There is no delivery date. "Rewards will ship when available and there is no guaranteed shipping date for Rewards", and "upon cancellation of a Referrer’s Oura account for any reason, an unredeemed Reward that has not yet been delivered to Referrer is forfeited." Because the shipping window is open-ended, so is the window in which cancelling your account destroys a reward you have earned.
Only ring purchases count, and only first ones. A qualified referral requires that "The Friend completed the purchase of at least one Oura Ring using the Referral Link you provided"; additional or subsequent purchases do not count. Links go to individuals only, "not organizations or business entities", and both people must be 18 or over.
Oura’s own terms disagree about how many friends you need
The opening definition says a compliant customer "may receive a Reward for referring at least one (1) Friend who are Qualified Referrals". Further down, the same document says twice that three are required: "You may only earn one Qualified Referral for referring a Friend, up to a maximum of three (3) Friends", and "You may receive a Reward for referring three (3) verified Qualified Referrals."
- Friends needed for a Reward, per the opening definitionOne (1)
- Friends needed, per the same document twice further downThree (3)
Both figures are in the binding Refer a Friend terms, read on July 25, 2026.
Then it forecloses the middle ground: "No partial Reward will be given." The operative reading is that nothing arrives until the third qualifying buyer does. Both sentences are in the live document: if you ever end up arguing this with support, the terms are on your side more than Oura’s drafting intended.
The rules that decide whether any of it lands
Oura decides, and that is the end of it. "All of Oura’s decisions are final and binding, including decisions as to whether a Qualified Referral or Reward is verified." It may also delay a reward for the purposes of investigation, with no stated limit on how long that takes.
The program can end mid-sentence. "We reserve the right to modify, amend, or terminate the Program at any time, for any reason." Terminating the program triggers the same forfeiture clause as cancelling your account.
If it all goes wrong, the ceiling is $100. The terms state in capitals that Oura’s maximum liability "SHALL NOT EXCEED $100 USD", and add that "CUSTOMERS SHOULD USE THE PROGRAM AT THEIR OWN RISK."
And you have one year, in a venue you did not pick. Any claim "must be filed within one (1) year after such claim or cause of action arose or be forever barred." The document carries both a binding arbitration clause, with a single arbitrator and a class action waiver, and a clause under which Finnish law applies and the Finnish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
Skip this offer if
- You were buying from a retailer anyway. The discount does not exist there, so the link is decoration. Buy where the price and the return policy suit you.
- You are in it to earn by referring people. Three ring buyers for one unreturnable item of merchandise, on no schedule, is not an income stream.
- A bigger Oura sale is running, or you are buying for a company. Nothing combines, so take the larger number; and referral links are issued to individual customers only.
The other Oura program, and why we cannot show you its terms
There are two Oura programs, and only the customer one, Refer a Friend, gives you anything. The other is ouraring.com/affiliate, which redirects to a partner-network tracking address. We followed that redirect on July 25, 2026, the destination returned an empty response with no content at all, and so those terms are unread. On the customer program the rule is unambiguous, we have quoted it, and it is why this page carries no Oura link of any kind.
Is it worth your time?
If a Ring 5 or Ring 4 is already in your basket on ouraring.com, then yes: ask someone you know for their link and take the 10%. That is a large discount by the standards of this site and it costs you one message. If you are still deciding, the referral should not enter the decision at all, because it never touches the membership, and the membership is the part you keep paying for.
