Murf does not discount for new users. That is Murf’s own sentence, not ours.
Murf answers this itself, in its own words: it does not offer discounts to new users, rather a recurring commission to its affiliate partners. Its affiliate page carries the question that bluntly: is there a discount coupon for my audience? The money that might have been your discount is the money that pays the person recommending the product to you. Most companies leave you to work that out. Murf writes it down.
- You, the new customer: discount, coupon, credit or extended trialNothing
- The publisher whose link you used, on what you pay20%
The percentage is the publisher’s share of everything you pay, for two years from your first transaction.
What pays what
| You, the new customer | Nothing |
|---|---|
| You, if a partner has a code Murf authorised in writing | Whatever Murf authorised |
| The publisher whose link you used, on what you pay | 20%, for 24 months |
| The publisher, if you buy more than 90 days after clicking | Nothing |
| The publisher, if you clicked someone else’s link last | Nothing, and it is never split |
| The publisher, if you refund | Nothing, plus a negative balance |
| A Murf refer-a-friend program that pays you | Does not exist |
Do this, in this order
- Stop hunting for a Murf coupon code. The company has answered the question in public, in writing, on its own site. There is no discount for new users, and the contract behind that sentence stops its partners from manufacturing one.
- Read Murf’s own pricing page on the day you buy. With no code in play, the published price is the price through every link. Read it on Murf’s site, because copied price tables go stale quietly. We deliberately do not reproduce Murf’s plan prices here.
- Choose monthly or annual on the product, not on a promise. Murf’s affiliate contract has a separate clause covering people who pay annually, which confirms both billing options exist. Which suits you depends on how long you will genuinely use it, and on Murf’s current prices.
- Notice how long the person recommending Murf gets paid. An affiliate earns 20% of the revenue you generate for two years from your first transaction. It is a revenue share, so it scales with the size of your plan and keeps paying for as long as you keep paying. That is a long incentive to point you at a bigger tier, and a reason to read a second review.
- Check whether the review you are reading discloses anything at all. Murf runs its program through PartnerStack, a third-party platform many software brands use, so the same question applies across most of what you will read about AI tools.
- Know what a link actually changes. Nothing about your account, your price, your plan or your trial. It decides only who gets paid if you subscribe.
There is only one program here, and it is not for you
On some brands two different things share the word “referral” and only one of them pays the reader. Ledger is the clearest case on this site: its in-app refer-a-friend pays the buyer, its affiliate program does not.
Murf has no second program. Its partner pages list a reseller track, a technology partner track and an affiliate partner track, and its footer adds a global reseller program, voice actor partnerships and a startup incubator. None is a member-get-member referral, and there is no in-app invite crediting an existing customer for bringing a friend.
The publisher’s side, in full, because that is where the money is
If you were thinking of promoting Murf rather than buying it, this is the whole shape of it, read from the agreement.
The rate is real and genuinely recurring. 20% of the revenue a referred person generates, for two years from their first transaction. The marketing page calls it a recurring 20% commission for 24 months, the contract calls it two years, and the two agree. It moves with the plan they buy.
The click lives 90 days, last click wins, and it is never shared. The fee goes to the last link the buyer clicked before purchasing, provided that purchase happens within 90 days. Buy on day 91 and nobody is paid. The terms also say fees will not be split or transferred: if your reader clicks your link and then somebody else’s before subscribing, your share is zero.
Refunds claw back, and can go negative. No fee is earned on refunded or returned transactions, and if the refund lands after the fee was approved and paid, a negative balance is created on the account and deducted from future earnings. You can therefore owe Murf money on a month with no sales in it.
Money moves slowly, on purpose. Fees typically take 30 to 60 days to process to allow for refunds, are approved on or about the 1st of the month and paid on or about the 2nd. Murf’s own worked example: a fee earned on August 5th is likely approved by October 1st and paid on October 2nd. Annual payers are settled as a single payment within roughly 60 days of their purchase, assuming no refund.
There is a residency bar, and it is named. Joining means warranting that you do not live in a country under sanction by the US Office of Foreign Assets Control, and Murf lists them: the Balkans, Belarus, Burma, Cote d’Ivoire, Cuba, DR of the Congo, Iran, Iraq, Liberia under the former Charles Taylor regime, Lebanon, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Yemen and Zimbabwe. Murf adds that the list can change at any time. We found no US state exclusions.
Paperwork gates the payment, and the tax is yours. A Form W-9 or W-8BEN may be required as a condition of being paid, and all taxes and reporting obligations on what you earn sit with you.
Several ways to end up with nothing. Self-referral earns no fee, because only transactions by other people count. Sending your link by SMS or text message is banned outright. Redirecting links to hide or manipulate their source voids every unpaid fee and terminates the account. Murf can exclude transactions and decline to pay for them at its sole discretion where it sees abuse. And on termination, no further fees are paid at all, whatever is in the pipeline.
What Murf does not publish: the payout floor and the currency. The FAQ names PayPal or Stripe as cash-out rails, with alternatives in regions PayPal does not serve, and says rewards are calculated at the end of each month. It publishes no minimum balance and no payout currency anywhere we could read. Any threshold would belong to PartnerStack, which is a separate company with its own terms.
The keyword list that gives the game away
Buried in the paid-search section of the same contract is a list of terms affiliates may not bid on in Google, Bing, Yahoo, Facebook or anywhere else. It reads: Murf, Murf Voiceover, murf.ai, Murf coupon, Murf discount code, Murf discount, Murf promo code, Murf sale, Murf promo, Murf sales, Murf deals.
Seven of those eleven terms are people hunting a discount the same document says does not exist. The restriction is scoped to keyword bidding, not to what an article may say, which is why this page can exist. On enforcement, Murf says it has a zero tolerance policy on brand keyword bidding, will not enter a discussion about when a violation started or stopped, forfeits at least the past 30 days of fees, sets the balance to zero without warning, and may remove the partner at its discretion.
Why this page shows a wordmark instead of the Murf logo
The only permission Murf publishes is inside the affiliate agreement. It licenses partners to use Murf’s logos, trade names and trademarks solely in connection with their links, unmodified, only while a member in good standing, and adds that neither party may use the other’s proprietary materials in a way that is disparaging, misleading, obscene, or that otherwise portrays the other in a negative light. We are not in the program and Murf publishes no press page or public brand guidelines we could find, so we use the name and not the mark.
Is it worth your time?
As a deal, no: there is no deal. Murf deserves credit for saying so in its own FAQ. The money question actually open to you is which plan you need and whether you will still be using it in six months, not which link you arrived through. The only saving available here is a smaller plan.
