Airtable's referral pays you nothing for signing up through someone's invitation.
No Airtable page we read gives the invited person a credit, a discount or a longer trial. What every new account does get, link or no link, is a 14-day trial of the Team plan on its first workspace, and then the Free plan.
What pays what
| You, a new user who signs up through an invitation or referral link | Nothing published |
|---|---|
| Any new account, with or without an invitation | 14-day Team plan trial |
Do this, in this order
- If you are new, sign up however you like. An invitation gives you nothing extra, and every new account gets the same 14-day Team trial on its first workspace.
- Do not add a card during the trial unless you mean to pay. The plans article warns: “Keep in mind that if you add a payment method to your workspace during your 14-day trial, your workspace is automatically upgraded to the Team plan and billed accordingly.” Billing does not wait for day 14, and you cannot extend the trial yourself.
- Judge the Free plan by its own limits, not the trial's. For the first 14 days you see the trial's ceiling of 50,000 records per base. The Free plan allows 1,000 records per base, 1 GB of attachments per base, and 5 collaborators with Editor or Creator permissions. Go over the record or attachment limit and Airtable says it will never remove your data, but you cannot add more until you upgrade.
- Count seats before adding collaborators to a paid workspace. The Team plan is $24 per collaborator per month billed monthly, or $20 billed annually, and it bills every collaborator with Commenter permissions or higher. One new editor on a Team workspace is $24 a month, which is $288 over twelve months. Read-only collaborators are not billed.
- Treat every payment as final. The Terms of Service say: “All payments for transactions are non-refundable and non-transferable except as expressly provided in these Terms.” Cancel a plan and it runs to the end of the term with no refund; the 14-day refund right in the terms is written for people living in the European Union or Turkey. The one opening is a courtesy refund for an accidental upgrade or an accidentally added billable collaborator, if you contact Airtable within 7 days of the invoice on a monthly plan or 14 days on an annual plan.
What Airtable does not publish, and the contract you sign
Not published. Any reward for the person invited, and an end date for the program. We found no separate referral terms and no public affiliate program on the pages read; the rules live in one help article and one section of the Terms of Service.
The contract is dated May 31, 2024. Both the Terms of Service and the Master Subscription Agreement carried that last-updated date when we read them on September 18, 2026. The terms set a minimum age of 16, send disputes to individual arbitration, and renew every paid plan automatically for a term equal to the last one at the price in force on the renewal date.
Is it worth your time?
As a new user you have nothing to claim, so do not hunt for a link. Open a Free account if Airtable suits the job, keep your card out of the workspace for the first 14 days, and see whether 1,000 records per base is enough once the trial ends. If a friend asks you to use their invitation, it costs you nothing.
If you invite people yourself later, Airtable gives you $10 in credit for each new person who joins and verifies their email. Airtable publishes no cap. It is credit off an Airtable bill, not cash, and on the Free plan it expires after 90 days unless you upgrade to Team.
