The amounts, and who receives them. The amounts are in the table above, they are paid in account credits, and rewards can be earned only once per referral. The $10 lands five days after the referral signs up for a paid service, and the $50 arrives after the referral passes $50 in payments, excluding any credit balance. The person being referred receives nothing at any stage.

Credits are not money, and Kinsta says so. The referral terms state that referral credits have no intrinsic or cash value, are not redeemable for cash, and are nonrefundable.

The credits can evaporate. Unused credits are forfeited and void when your hosting plan terminates, or in the event of fraud, abuse, or a terms violation. If you cancel your WordPress hosting plan, any credits in your account balance expire 12 months after the cancellation date. Kinsta also reserves the right to charge your plan, or seek reimbursement, for the value of any credits obtained fraudulently, illegally, or improperly.

Some referrals never count, and not everyone can even see the page. Referrals of beta services, static site hosting, or any other free services are not eligible for credits. And only users with billing access, meaning company owners, company administrators, and company billing users, can reach the referrals page at all. Tax on what you receive is your responsibility.

You have to be let in, and the rejection list is published. Kinsta says its affiliate team manually screens each applicant’s website and that it generally does not accept sites under construction, sites without their own domain, sites that display lists of tools or services with no further information, sites without an affiliate disclosure, coupons and deals websites, or social media profiles. The terms then ban placing links to Kinsta, or referring to Kinsta in any way, on coupon websites at all.

Four conditions must all hold, or the commission is zero. The referred customer must never have been a Kinsta customer before, must have actually paid, your affiliate account must be active at the moment they pay, and Kinsta must already have every tax document it asked you for, such as a W-9. Customers who arrive through beta services are excluded outright and never become referred customers.

There is a two-month qualification period, and a refund unwinds it. Referrals of managed WordPress hosting take two months to certify, and if the referred customer asks for a refund and cancels, the referral becomes void. Recurring commissions only start accruing once the one-time commission has been approved, and if fees are refunded for any reason, Kinsta may set that amount off against your future commissions. One-time fees, overage fees, and add-on subscriptions are excluded from the 10% entirely.

The cookie lasts 60 days and the next link overwrites yours. If the visitor clicks a different affiliate link in the same browser inside that window, a new cookie replaces yours. Kinsta states it is not responsible for cookies deleted intentionally or unintentionally, and that no commission will be paid for tracking errors of any kind. If a referral goes missing, you have 14 days from the subscription date to claim it by email.

Getting paid has its own gates. PayPal is the only payment method available for commissions. Nothing is paid until your balance reaches $50, and payments go out between the 15th and 20th of each month. Converting earnings into MyKinsta hosting credit instead needs a much higher threshold, $500 in approved commissions. Kinsta withholds no tax of any kind, so the whole tax obligation is yours.

The clause to read twice. Kinsta may terminate the program, the agreement, or your account at its discretion and at any time without formal notice, and upon termination it has no further obligations to you, including the payment of any pending or prior earned commissions. Money you have already earned is not safe until it has been paid.

Conduct rules that catch ordinary review sites. Kinsta’s name may not appear in a domain, subdomain, or social media profile, though it is expressly allowed in a URL path, so a page like this one is fine where a whole site named after the brand is not. No bidding on keywords containing Kinsta trademarks or their misspellings. No self-referrals, and paying with a card that belongs to you counts as a violation. Every piece of promotional content must disclose that you are in the program. You must be 18, the program is closed to people in or resident in embargoed countries or otherwise subject to sanctions, and disputes go to arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association.
