WeightWatchers gives a new member up to 54% off without any invitation, but only on a 12-month plan whose fee you owe in full once it starts.
The Invite a Friend offer needs a member's link. The bigger public offer needs no friend. The homepage we read on Sep 25, 2026 said: “LIMITED TIME ONLY: Save 54% on a 12-month Core+ plan!” The affiliate page, the same morning, advertised 50% off a 12-month plan. No page we saved printed a dollar price, so we cannot tell you what either figure saves. Go by the total at checkout.
What pays what
| You, joining from the homepage, where Core+ is offered | 54% off a 12-month Core+ plan |
|---|---|
| The banner on WeightWatchers' affiliate page, same day | 50% off a 12-month plan |
| You, new or rejoining, on a 6-Month Commitment Plan through a member's invitation link | First 3 months free |
| Months four to six of that invited plan | The standard monthly fee |
| WW Clinic plans, or an invitation stacked on another joining offer | Not eligible |
In order to receive your 3 months free, you must purchase your Core Membership or Core+ through your friend's personal invitation link. The Invite a Friend Program invitation cannot be combined with other joining offers, and is for new or rejoining members only.
The same terms say the free months come with a 6-Month Commitment Plan, that after them you are charged the standard monthly fee until the commitment ends, and that the plan then renews monthly until you cancel. So you pay the standard fee for three of the six months. For Core+, the invitation too is limited to participating locations.
Do this, in this order
- Pick one offer. The invitation cannot be combined with other joining offers, so a friend's link and the homepage discount are a choice, not a stack. The homepage offer is a year; the invitation is six months with the first three free. If you are unsure you will last a year, the shorter commitment is the smaller risk.
- Check that Core+ is sold where you live. The 54% is on a Core+ plan, and the offer terms say: “Core+ offer available in participating areas only.” If Core+ is not offered to you, the discount on the plan you can buy may differ; read the checkout screen.
- Buy on the website, not inside the iPhone app. The Membership Agreement says: “Notwithstanding anything in this Agreement to the contrary, purchases made within the Mobile Apps downloaded from the Apple® iTunes store are not refundable and are subject to Apple's iTunes Terms of Service .” Subscribing requires a United States mailing address, and the service is for adults 18 or older.
- Know the only early exit. The agreement promises a refund of the amounts required by law if you cancel within 3 days of your initial purchase, or another period the law sets, and lists state notices with windows of a few business days. After that, you may cancel at any time, but it takes effect at the end of the commitment period. WeightWatchers says it will attempt to process a cancellation within 72 hours.
- Put the renewal in your calendar. The 12-month offer renews for another 12-month period unless canceled. If you cancel near the end of a billing period and are charged anyway, the agreement says to contact Customer Service to have it reversed, and warns: “If you use our Fee-Based Product during that next period, you will not be entitled to a refund.”
Where WeightWatchers' pages disagree, and what it does not publish
54% or 50%. On the same morning the homepage offered 54% off a 12-month Core+ plan and the affiliate page offered 50% off a 12-month plan. Neither says which plan the other figure applies to, and neither prints a price. The homepage calls the offer limited time but gives no end date.
How a commitment plan renews. The homepage offer says it renews for another 12-month period. The Membership Agreement describes both kinds: commitment plans that convert to standard monthly pricing, and ones that renew for the same long commitment. The invitation plan is the first kind. Check which one your checkout screen names.
Dates. The Membership Agreement is dated February 9, 2026. The invitation terms carry no date, and neither offer prints an end date.
Is it worth your time?
If you have used WeightWatchers before, know you will stick with it, and Core+ is sold where you live, the homepage discount is the better of the two offers on paper: half or more off a full year, with nothing to ask of a friend. The honest price of it is the whole year, because the fee is not refundable once the year starts, and a second year follows unless you cancel.
If you are trying it for the first time, the invitation is the smaller bet: six months, three of them free, then monthly billing you can stop. It still locks you in for the full six. Whichever you choose, buy on the website rather than in the iPhone app, and set a reminder before each renewal.
