A Noom member's guest pass gives a US newcomer a 2-week trial and 20% off, but only on a web sign-up through that link.
Noom's referral page answers the question plainly: “In the U.S., they get a 2-week trial and 20% off their subscription.” It does not say how long the 20% lasts, whether the trial costs anything, or what the subscription costs, and no page we saved prints a Noom Weight price. Noom's homepage adds that in most cases anyone can start with a free trial, link or not, without stating its length.
What pays what
| You, in the US, through a member's link | A 2-week trial and 20% off |
|---|---|
| You, in Canada, Australia or the UK, through a member's link | 20% off when the trial ends |
| Anyone who signs up through Apple or Google Play | Not eligible |
| Anyone outside those four countries | No program |
Only a member with an active Noom subscription can send a guest pass, from the profile menu in the app, by text, email or copy and paste. When the friend signs up, the two of you also become friends in the app automatically.
Do this, in this order
- Get the link and use it, on the web. Open the member's guest pass and sign up from it in a browser. Both an app-store sign-up and a sign-up without the link lose the discount for good.
- Read the checkout screen for the real terms. Noom's Terms and Conditions of Use say a trial or promotional price is only available on the specified terms of the offer, and that when a promotion ends Noom bills the non-promotional price unless you cancel first. The checkout is where the length of the trial, the price and the length of the discount are stated.
- Put the trial's last day in your own calendar. The terms say your first payment is charged right after a free trial ends, and: “We provide notice of the terms of the free trial at the time you register and you will not receive a separate notice that your free trial is about to end or has ended, or that your paid subscription has begun, unless required by law in particular instances or jurisdictions.”
- Cancel in the Subscription Portal or the app, in time. “You must cancel your subscription prior to 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on the day before your next recurring billing date in order to avoid being charged for the next billing period.” Deleting the app does not cancel anything, and Noom says you will continue to be charged.
- If you were charged and regret it, act within 14 days. For Noom Weight, refunds may be available if requested within 14 days of your first charge, by chat or the contact form. Renewal charges are not refundable. On Noom Med, refunds end once a prescription has been written. California residents also have 3 business days to cancel and seek a refund by mailed notice.
Unless required by law, fees are generally not refundable.
The terms add that Noom does not refund partly used billing periods, though it may on a case-by-case basis, and that a subscription renews at the price in effect at the time of renewal. They were updated December 9, 2025.
Where Noom's pages disagree, and what it does not publish
Reminders. The terms say you will not get a separate notice that a free trial is ending. Noom's refund page says Billing Reminder Emails include details about renewal dates and refund eligibility. Do not count on either; set your own reminder.
When a cancelled trial ends. The help article on cancelling says cancelling does not end your access immediately. The terms say that if you are on a free trial or promotion, cancellation may be effective immediately. If you cancel during the trial, expect to lose access that day.
The numbers Noom leaves out. No page we read gives a Noom Weight price, the length of the 20% discount or an end date for the program. The referral page itself carries no date.
Is it worth your time?
If you were going to try Noom anyway and a member offers you their link, take it: the only effort is signing up on the web rather than in the App Store. Without a price on any page we read, we cannot tell you what the 20% is worth in dollars, so judge it by the checkout total.
The risk is the billing, not the discount. Noom charges the moment the trial ends, promises no warning in its terms, and never refunds a renewal. If you are a US member being asked for your link, know that you earn nothing for sending it.
