All offers / Crypto / Trezor
Trezor is the rare referral that really does pay the buyer. One buried line decides whether you qualify.
A hardware wallet is a small device that keeps the keys to your crypto offline, so someone who breaks into your computer still cannot move your coins. Most hardware wallet referrals pay only the person doing the referring. This one pays the buyer.
Where the money really goes
| You, a genuinely new customer, first order of $49 or more | 10% off |
|---|---|
| The existing owner whose link you used | $20 store voucher |
| That owner, at the yearly ceiling of 50 referrals | Up to $1,000 in vouchers |
| Anyone who has ever bought on the Trezor Shop | $0 |
| Stacking the referral on a Black Friday or seasonal sale | Not allowed |
| Using your own link for yourself or your household | Not allowed |
| This site, through any link on this page | Nothing |
One detail worth holding lightly: the 10% appears only on Trezor’s marketing page. The binding terms, last updated 29 July 2025, spell out the $49 minimum and the referrer’s $20 and never state the buyer’s percentage at all, so confirm the discount has actually applied in your cart before you pay. Those terms also ban posting referral links on coupon sites, public forums, and social pages the referrer does not own, so a genuine Trezor link comes from a person you know.
Do this, in this order
- Check you are genuinely a new Trezor Shop customer. Never previously purchased means never, not never bought a wallet. Search your inbox for an old Trezor receipt first; everything else here is wasted effort if one turns up.
- Get the link from someone who already owns a Trezor. Only existing customers can generate one, and a referred friend may only ever use one referral link, so the first link you click is the one that counts. There is no public code to hunt for.
- Reach $49 before tax and shipping, and do not wait for a sale. The minimum order value is 49 USD or equivalent, excluding taxes, shipping and similar costs, so a basket that reads $49 at checkout may not qualify. Referral discounts also cannot be combined with other discounts, promotions or offers, Black Friday and Cyber Monday included. If a sale is running, work out which is worth more and take that one, not both.
- Buy only from Trezor’s official shop. This matters more than the 10%. Trezor puts it bluntly: never buy from an unauthorized third party, because you can never tell who had access to it first. Trezor has said it has seen reports of fakes, particularly older models such as the Model One and Model T, appearing in Russia. A tampered or already set up wallet hands your coins to a stranger.
- Check the device arrives with no firmware on it. Firmware is the software that runs on the device itself, and Trezor ships every device without any, so you install it during setup. A wallet that already has firmware out of the box means someone got there first, and it should not be used.
- Write the recovery seed on paper, and treat it as the money. During setup the device shows you a recovery seed: the list of words that is the master key to everything on the wallet. Write it on paper, store it somewhere private, never type it into a phone or computer, never photograph it, and never tell it to anyone.
- Expect phishing, because of the January 2024 incident. An unauthorized party reached Trezor’s third-party support ticketing portal, where up to 66,000 contacts were present, and directly emailed 41 users asking for information about their recovery seeds. No funds were compromised and the exposure was limited to names or nicknames and email addresses, so the lasting risk is convincing fake messages. Trezor states it will never ask for your recovery seed, by email, through support, or in any other form of communication.
- If you are the one referring, know what you are collecting. The reward is $20 issued as a Trezor discount voucher, emailed within 21 days after the purchase is confirmed. It is not cash, Trezor may exclude certain products from voucher use at its own discretion, it is cancelled if the order is refunded, cancelled or disputed, and the terms note rewards may be subject to local taxes. They are silent on whether the voucher expires, so spend it early.
Is it worth your time?
If you already decided to buy a Trezor, then yes, spend the two minutes asking an owner for their link. Ten percent of a first order is a better deal than any other wallet referral we read this week, and it costs you nothing to ask. Trezor is more generous to the buyer than to the referrer: you get money off a purchase, they get store credit that only spends in the same shop. If you are not sure you need a hardware wallet yet, the 10% is not a reason to become sure.
