Chewy never puts a number on its Autoship discount, and the cancel window shuts earlier than you think.

The discount is unnumbered, and movable. The terms describe saving "an additional percentage" on Chewy’s everyday low prices; no figure appears anywhere in the document, and Chewy reserves the right to change Autoship benefits at any time in its sole discretion, including the discount amounts. One protection survives: once you have authorised an order, Chewy will not change the price of that next shipment.

You are authorising future charges, not approving each one. Chewy will submit periodic charges, monthly for example, to your chosen payment method without further authorisation from you, until you give notice to cancel or change it.

A failed card does not stop the order. It moves to another card. If Chewy cannot complete your Autoship order with the payment method you used to set up the subscription, it may charge any other valid payment method associated with your Chewy Account, and the same fallback rule sits in the main Terms of Use for ordinary orders.

Chewy can end your subscription. Chewy may terminate your subscriptions at any time without notice, in its sole discretion, and if it does you are charged only for orders already shipped. Your participation cannot be transferred to anyone else, and subscriptions are void where prohibited.

The terms can change without telling you, and staying is agreeing. Chewy may change the Autoship Terms at its sole discretion without notice, and the document says in capitals that continuing to take part after a change is your acceptance of it.

There are two published ways out. Cancel at any time through Autoship Manager inside Your Account, or by calling customer service on 800-672-4399.

Redemption is Chewy’s call, not yours. Chewy reserves the right to make the final decision on the redemption and fulfilment of any benefit, in its sole discretion. There are no substitutions and no cash redemptions, and any applicable taxes are the recipient’s responsibility.

Order confirmation is not acceptance. The Terms of Use say the confirmation email does not constitute acceptance of an order or an agreement to sell, and that no sale is complete until shipment.

A "Was" price is a real price. A "List" price may not be. "List" price means the manufacturer’s or supplier’s suggested retail price, and Chewy states plainly that it is not necessarily the prevailing or regular price of the product. The "Was" price is calculated from prices actually available on Chewy’s own site during at least 30 of the 90 days beforehand. Check which word the page used before you believe the percentage next to it.

You are inside the United States, or you are not a customer. Products are intended for use in the United States, and Chewy may cancel your order in its sole discretion if it believes you are buying for use outside the country.

Disputes go to arbitration, and class actions are waived. The Terms of Use open with a capitalised notice that disputes are resolved by mandatory binding arbitration, and that both sides give up any right to a class action, a jury trial or class-wide arbitration.

The return window. Chewy’s return policy page builds its content in your browser, so the delivered document contained navigation and nothing else. The very long return window quoted all over the internet was not in anything we could read, so we do not publish it. Open the policy yourself before you count on it.

The customer refer-a-friend reward. Chewy’s own affiliate page describes an affiliate track and a creator track and never mentions a customer referral. Five plausible refer-a-friend addresses returned nothing at all, and searching every Chewy policy page that does load found no trace of the phrase. So we cannot tell you the amount, and we will not tell you the program exists.

The affiliate rate and the cookie window. Chewy confirms the program runs through Impact, that Impact transfers commissions monthly, and that the taxes are the partner’s problem. It publishes no rate and no cookie length, and it contradicts itself on the same page: a bullet near the top promises commission on every eligible order from new and existing customers, while the questions below describe commission on new customer orders inside the cookie window.

You live in Alaska, Hawaii or a US territory. Promotional offers are void outside the 48 contiguous states and D.C., and Autoship does not ship there.

You are buying once, or you cannot act on a dated reminder. Autoship’s value is the repeat. Set up for a single bag of food it is just a cancellation task you have handed yourself.

You came for a signup bonus. There is no confirmed reward for joining Chewy at all, and if a small cash bonus is what you actually want, the offers at the bottom of this page pay one.
