Can a website give me a Hostinger referral link?

No. Hostinger's Referral Program Agreement states that referral links should not be published or distributed on commercial websites, any blogs or YouTube channels or videos, but only on personal social media. A site that hands you one is either breaking that clause or handing you an affiliate link, which pays the site and gives you no discount.

How much is the Hostinger referral discount?

The referral agreement says you will get up to 20% discount at the checkout. Domain services are excluded entirely, and shared hosting only qualifies on subscriptions of 12 months or longer.

Is the Hostinger referral really worth up to 450 USD?

That is the ceiling on the marketing page. If you refer people yourself, Hostinger's own aggregate figures on the same page, more than 3 million dollars paid out across more than 315,000 successful referrals and more than 75,000 active members, work out to an average successful referral of about 9.52 dollars and an average member earning of about 40 dollars over the program's lifetime, so treat 450 dollars as a ceiling, not a typical outcome.

Hostinger’s referral agreement excludes sites like this one in a single sentence, in a document its own page says was last revised on July 22, 2026, three days before we read it. The discount is not in doubt: the agreement states that the referee will get up to 20% discount at the checkout. The same section states that referral links should not be published or distributed on commercial websites, any blogs or YouTube channels/videos.

Two programs, one word. Hostinger runs a Referral Program and an Affiliate Program under two separate binding agreements, and casual writing calls both "referrals". The referral program is open only to existing Hostinger customers, who generate a link inside hPanel, and it gives you up to 20% off. The affiliate program is open to anyone who applies and gives the buyer nothing.

Nothing in the affiliate program touches your price, which is why a "Hostinger coupon" page can look identical to a friend’s message and be worth nothing to you.

Do this, in this order

Ask a person, not a search engine. The agreement says the program "is meant only for referring people that are already in your network: your friends, family, colleagues, clients, and their networks", and that links belong "only on your personal social media". Anyone who already hosts with Hostinger can generate one from hPanel in about a minute. If nobody you know does, there is no compliant route to the discount.
Check the product before you count on the discount. "Domain-related services are not eligible", stated twice, in the agreement and in the referral page’s own FAQ. If you are buying a domain alone, the link does nothing.
Check the service list, because it changed in August 2026. The agreement revised August 18, 2026 names Shared, Cloud and Agency Hosting, VPS, Hostinger Email, Email Marketing (Hostinger Reach), AI Builder, AI automation apps and Hostinger Agents as eligible, on 12-month or longer subscriptions. Website Builder and 1-Click OpenClaw, which the earlier agreement listed, no longer appear, and domain services remain ineligible outright.
Be genuinely new. A Declined referral is one where the plan was later refunded, where the purchase was a domain service, or where "your referral had an existing eligible services and the client is not new to Hostinger". Self-referrals are prohibited outright, and so is bidding on Hostinger’s trademark in paid search.
Do not expect to stack it. The discount "can not be combined with other Hostinger referral programs or incentives in respect of the same purchase", so a sitewide promotion and a friend’s link are an either/or on the same order.
If you later refer someone else yourself, that is a separate, smaller reward. Once you are a customer, sharing your own link can earn you up to 20% of a friend’s first purchase, paid out after they stay active 45 days and issued once you reach 50 USD for PayPal, 200 USD for wire transfer, or 0.10 USD for Hostinger Balance, which is store credit and not money: "This payout is final and cannot be reverted."

The other Hostinger program, and why coupon pages exist

The affiliate program is the reason so many "Hostinger coupon" pages exist: it pays websites for sending buyers, and it does not touch your price. Its agreement requires "prior approval" before a publisher can advertise "price savings methods, including coupon(s), voucher(s), discount codes, or added value offers". A page promising you a Hostinger code is describing either a privately approved arrangement or an imaginary one, and either way it is not the personal referral link this page is about.

Even the logo is on loan. Hostinger’s brand policy states that "generally, we do not provide our corporate logos for personal use other than through our Affiliate Program". We have not been granted permission, so the tile at the top of this page is a plain wordmark.

Is it worth your time?

Hunting a Hostinger code online is not worth another minute; asking one person is worth about thirty seconds. The whole question is whether anybody in your life already hosts with Hostinger. If somebody does, ask them: they generate the link from hPanel and you save at checkout. If nobody does, buy at the ordinary price. Check that your plan is long enough to be eligible at all, and that you are comfortable with the renewal price, since the deep first-term pricing is where hosting companies make their margin back.
