A Poshmark invite code is just a member's username, and it gives a new member $10 in Posh Credit at sign-up, spendable only on Poshmark, with a $15 order minimum.
Poshmark's help article, written to the member who invites you, says: “Your friends will receive $10 in Posh Credit when they sign up by using your username as their personal invite code on their own device.” There is no link in this program: the code is the username itself.
What pays what
| You, signing up with a member's username as the referral code, on your own device | $10 in Posh Credit |
|---|---|
| Any order below $15 | Does not qualify |
| You, signing up with no code, or adding one after registration | Nothing |
| A second account for the same person | Not eligible, and may restrict the account |
New accounts created with a referral must be associated with a unique identity in order to be eligible for credits.
The second help article, How does the referral program work, repeats the same $10 for a new member. For you, it is $10 once, on one account.
Do this, in this order
- Get the username before you download anything. Poshmark's referral code is a member's username, and a member finds theirs by going to their Account Tab and tapping Invite Friends, Earn Cash. Every member also has a public closet page at poshmark.com/closet/ followed by their username, which is one way to check you have it right.
- Register on your own device and type it in the referral code box. The help article says the new member signs up by using the username as their personal invite code on their own device, at the time of registration.
- Confirm the $10 landed. Poshmark tells members to track credits by going to the Account Tab, then My Balance, then My Referral Credits History.
- Buy something of $15 or more. One article says “Orders must be a minimum of $15 to qualify.” The other says “Order received must be a minimum of $15 to qualify.” Neither says whether the floor governs your $10, or whether it is counted before or after your credit is applied. Picking an item priced at $15 or more before the credit is applied settles the question either way.
- Spend it soon. The help pages give no expiry date for the $10, and the terms say Poshmark will have no liability for canceled or expired Posh Credits. Treat it as credit that can disappear, not as savings.
What Poshmark's current terms say, and what they leave out
It is store credit. Poshmark's Terms of Service page bundles every past version into one document. The version marked Current, Version 4.6, says: “Posh Credits cannot, unless required by law, be redeemed for cash or cash equivalents, transferred or applied to prior purchases, and cannot be sold, made available to the general public, or acquired via public distribution.” Older versions on the same page use different wording; we quote only the current one.
It can be taken back. The current clause adds: “We may cancel any Posh Credits at any time upon reasonable notice.” It sets no number of days. It also says “Users with suspended accounts will be prohibited from using Posh Credits during suspension.” It adds that other restrictions may apply.
The terms no longer mention referrals. The current clause says Poshmark may offer non-redeemable promotional credits for any reason, at its sole discretion, and that it will determine the requirements, amount, and value of these credits, if any. The $10 figures live only on the help pages. The page's header says the current version has been effective since June 3rd 2025, while the text beneath it still reads “Effective Date: October 3, 2024”.
A second program, for sellers. The Posh Affiliate program is a separate rewards program in which community members earn cash for completing campaigns, found under Seller Tools, then Campaigns. It has nothing to do with the $10 invite code. Poshmark's Legal Center, which holds all its policies, does not mention it, and we found no terms for it to read. The help center lists three short articles on it, whose text would not load for us without a browser.
Is it worth your time?
If you were going to buy on Poshmark anyway and a friend uses it, yes. The whole job is typing their username into the referral box when you register, and it takes $10 off a purchase you meant to make.
Do not join for it. $10 of store credit with a $15 minimum is a discount on shopping, not money, and Poshmark keeps the right to cancel credits and does not publish when yours expire. If you do not already have a friend on Poshmark, there is no public code to use: this page has none, and Poshmark's terms say credits cannot be made available to the general public.
