This is not Binance.US, and the reward here is a fee voucher rather than money.
Binance's own introduction lists two ongoing programs: "Invite friends and get a Trading Fee Rebate Voucher worth up to $1,000" and "Invite friends and earn USDC by completing 100% progress." The referral FAQ then adds the sentence that quietly undoes the headline, saying that "the total face value received by each user is subject to the actual amount received." In other words the ceiling is published and the amount is not. The terms make that a reserved right rather than an oversight: rewards are determined "in its sole and absolute discretion, without any obligation to disclose the methodology or criteria applied."
What pays what
| You, as the new user, after Task 1 and then Task 2 | A voucher each time, up to $1,100 in total |
|---|---|
| The friend whose link you used, once you finish both tasks | One voucher, up to $1,000 |
| The face value either of you actually receives | Not published |
| The second program, "Earn together", at 100% progress | Up to $400 in tokens |
| That same round at 99% progress when the 5 days end | Nothing, progress void |
| Funding by crypto deposit or a transfer from another Binance account | Does not count |
| Exactly $50 of purchases, or exactly $100 of trading | Does not count |
| Volume traded through the API or a trading bot | Does not count |
| A voucher you have not redeemed within 7 days | Revoked |
| Using one friend for both programs at once | Not allowed |
Both ceilings come from the same FAQ. The new user "will receive a voucher after each task is completed. With total up to $1,100 equivalent, up to $100 from the Task 1 completion and up to $1,000 from the Task 2 completion." The referrer "will receive the voucher only if the new referral completes both tasks, with the total up to $1,000 equivalent." Every one of those figures is a ceiling, and none of them is a promise.
What a voucher is, and where the $600 everyone quotes came from
A Trading Fee Rebate Voucher is a credit against the commission Binance charges on your trades. You cannot withdraw it or spend it anywhere else, and it becomes worth something only if you go on to trade enough to generate the fees it offsets. Binance adds that a voucher from this program "is not applicable for API trading and trading bots". If you were planning to buy once and hold, a fee voucher is worth close to nothing whatever number is printed on it.
A widely repeated write-up puts this bonus at up to $600, with a tier table resolving to roughly $90 for a normal person at around $55,000 of trading. We looked in the referral terms, the program introduction, the Referral Lite and Referral Pro FAQs, the additional-notes article, the referral landing page and the press page. The number $600 appears in none of them, and neither does the $90 nor the $55,000. We are not calling it a lie, only saying we could not find a first-party source, so it is not printed here as a fact. The nearest thing Binance does publish is the commission ladder for referrers, further down this page.
Do this, in this order
- Confirm which Binance you can actually use. If you are in the United States, stop here and read the Binance.US guide instead. The global program excludes anyone on a prohibited countries list, plus the named places set out further down this page.
- Register through the link itself. The referral relationship binds at the moment the account is created: "the referral relationship between referrals and referrers may have failed to bind. Unfortunately, no corrective actions can be taken once the new user has registered." A new user also gets one referral mode only, so signing up under Referral Lite closes Referral Pro to you for good.
- Fund the account the way the terms require. Task 1 is "cumulative crypto purchases worth more than $50 via cash deposit, buy crypto with debit/credit card, P2P trading." The exclusion that eats most people: "deposits via a third-party payment method, internal transfer from another Binance account or as a crypto deposit will not be counted towards the purchase task completion." Sending coins in from another wallet completes nothing.
- Clear both thresholds with room to spare. Task 2 is to "trade cumulative more than $100 via Spot or Convert", and the word "more" is doing real work: "only purchases greater than $50 count toward completing Task 1", and the trades "need to be greater than $100". Exactly $50 and exactly $100 both fail, and volume traded through the API or a bot does not count.
- Finish inside 14 days. Both tasks must be completed "within 14 days after registration". The clock starts at signup, not at your first deposit, so a bank transfer that sits pending for a week has eaten half of it.
- Verify your identity, then redeem fast and use it faster. Identity verification is required before a voucher can be redeemed, and after distribution "the voucher should be redeemed within 7 days and is valid for 14 days after activating".
The fine print that can still cost you the reward
The amount is discretionary and undisclosed by design. Section 3 of the referral terms says the determination, calculation and amount of rewards "are made by Binance in its sole and absolute discretion, without any obligation to disclose the methodology or criteria applied, and may be subject to change from time-to-time." The same section notes rewards "are Digital Assets that may have no intrinsic value and whose value (if any) may fluctuate significantly or decline to zero."
What you do not claim is taken back, and what you did claim can be too. Section 5: "If a reward remains unclaimed upon expiry of the applicable claim period, Binance shall revoke such reward without further notice". Section 7: on disqualification the user "shall immediately forfeit all accrued but unclaimed rewards", and Binance "may (but is not obliged to) revoke previously distributed rewards to the extent technically and legally feasible".
The identity check can be applied after the fact. Binance's additional notes say it may "restrict, suspend, or deny access to referral program benefits, including the ability to earn or redeem rewards, until you have completed the KYC Procedures to our satisfaction." The phrase "to our satisfaction" has no ceiling in it.
The second program is a progress bar you probably cannot fill. "Earn together" pays "up to $400 equivalent by reaching 100% progress" across three trading-volume tasks: "each user can complete up to 6 rounds to unlock up to $400 in tokens in every 30 days, with each round lasting for 5 days. If you fail to reach 100% of progress by the end of that referral round, the progress accumulated in that referral round will be void, and no rewards will be distributed for that referral round." And "each referred user can boost their referrer's progress by 0.005% to 10% after completing a task." At the low end of that range, filling a bar in five days would take more friends than anyone has.
You cannot run both programs on the same friend, and the Lite reward happens once. "The two evergreen programs are mutually exclusive. If you invite a friend through one program, you will not be eligible to receive rewards from the other program for that same friend." And "rewards from Referral Lite Mode are one-time only. Invited friends won't generate ongoing commissions or trading fees for you beyond the initial reward."
Where the program is closed
Binance keeps the exclusion list in its additional notes for the program. Users registered under EEA countries became ineligible "effective 2026-07-01", in Binance's words "in any capacity". UK users lost future commissions after the Financial Conduct Authority's financial promotions regime, which Binance summarises as meaning UK retail users cannot receive any incentive to trade. Singapore residents have been disqualified since November 2022. Users residing in Japan cannot take part as referred applicants, and users elsewhere cannot receive rewards if they have a referral relationship with someone residing in Japan. Users in Nigeria or holding Nigerian nationality are disqualified, as are Israel and Binance FZE users. Turkey was discontinued after the Capital Markets Board decision of September 19, 2024. In Hong Kong, both sides lose the commission if the referee is a resident.
If you were planning to refer friends, this is the real ladder
Referral Pro mode pays a percentage of the trading fees your friends generate, and it is the only genuine tier table Binance publishes. It is probably what most "Binance bonus" articles are half-remembering.
| Spot base rate, no volume required | 20% |
|---|---|
| Spot tier 1, at $200,000 of referral volume and 3 new traders | 30% |
| Spot tier 2, at $2,500,000 and 10 new traders | 41% |
| Spot tier 3, at $30,000,000 and 15 new traders | 50% |
| Futures base rate, for one year | 10% |
| Futures tier 3, at $500,000,000 and 15 new traders | 50% |
The Spot rates took effect on October 1, 2025 and the Futures rates on August 1, 2025. The sums are in hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars of other people's trading, so for a normal person the honest row is the base rate. Binance has since narrowed what the percentages are calculated on: commissions move to net fees, "transactional income after deducting any applicable market maker rebates", from April 29, 2026 for Spot and July 15, 2026 for Futures.
Why there is no link on this page
Section 6 of the referral terms sets out what a referrer agrees to. Referrers must "refrain from making any false, misleading, negative, critical or disparaging statements, implied or expressed, or perform any act, or conduct themself in such manner, which might in the opinion of Binance create adverse publicity to Binance or be prejudicial to the interests of Binance", and must "promote Binance and its products in a fair and responsible manner".
Everything on this page is a critical statement about Binance, judged "in the opinion of Binance". A site that signs up as a referrer has agreed not to write it. So there is no referral link here, and we earn nothing whatever you do next.
A second rule is worth flagging. A referral advertising policy dated March 9, 2026 cancels commissions generated through prohibited advertising methods and bans posting referral links as ads on search engines such as Google and Bing. It then lists sites that "imitate Binance" and closes the list with "redirected from any other unofficial third-party URLs". Read literally, that last line covers every third-party site on earth; read in context, it is an anti-impersonation rule. We flag it as genuinely ambiguous.
Is it worth your time?
If you are in the United States this is not your offer at all; read the Binance.US page, which pays a flat, published, withdrawable $10 to each side. Where the global program is open, you are chasing a fee credit whose size is not published, and it dies if you fund the account the way a crypto holder normally would, dies at exactly $50 or exactly $100, dies at fourteen days, then at seven, then at fourteen again. The second program dies at 99% of a five-day progress bar. None of that makes Binance a bad exchange. It makes the promotion a poor reason to choose it. Pick the exchange you actually want to use, and treat any voucher that lands as a small surprise.
